More efficient and flexible packaging of small components.
An ideal fit for industrial and retail packaging.
Enabling faster and more flexible packaging of small components.
At Interpack in Düsseldorf, we spoke with Vincent Meuser, Senior Business Developer at Audion Packaging Machines. Vincent is closely involved with Audion’s range of automatic packaging machines, including the Speedpack 300 Tabletop.
During the exhibition, Audion welcomed dealers, customers, and interested visitors from all over the world. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase a wide range of packaging machines and discuss the growing demand for smarter, faster, and more flexible packaging solutions.
One trend was particularly clear: more and more companies are looking for efficient ways to package smaller components in bags.
Growing Demand for Packaging Small Components
Audion is seeing an increasing number of inquiries and orders across various industries for machines capable of packaging small parts quickly and consistently. These include products sold through DIY stores, wholesalers, and technical distributors, such as screws, fittings, spare parts, plastic components, O-rings, assembly kits, and many other small items.
These products often need to be individually packaged, sometimes including product information, branding, or barcodes. As a result, speed is important, but flexibility is equally essential.
A packaging solution must fit the product, the logistics process, and the expectations of the end user.
Speedpack 300 Tabletop: Compact, Efficient, and Flexible
The Speedpack 300 Tabletop has been specifically designed for these types of applications. It is a compact industrial tabletop packaging machine that uses bags on a roll and is suitable for packaging a wide variety of small components. According to Audion, the Speedpack 300 Tabletop can process up to 20 bags per minute, depending on the application and machine settings.
In practice, this means that a single operator can produce up to 1,200 packages per hour within a controlled workflow. This is significantly faster than manually packing products into pre-made bags, where each bag must be opened, filled, sealed, and often labeled individually.
The result is a more efficient packaging process, higher output per operator, and a more consistent finished package.
Packaging That Fits the Product and the End User
Speed is only part of the story. The Speedpack range also offers flexibility in the packaging itself.
The bags can be customized to meet the requirements of the customer or end user. This can be achieved through the design, size, bag material, or pre-printing in multiple colors. Audion also supplies Duplex bags featuring one transparent side and one opaque side.
This is particularly relevant for products sold in retail environments such as DIY stores. The packaging not only protects the product but also ensures that it is presented clearly and professionally.
A transparent side allows the product to remain visible, while the other side can be used for branding, product information, instructions, or barcodes.
Machines and Consumables as a Complete Solution
Audion does not only supply packaging machines; the company also provides the corresponding bags and consumables. This gives customers a complete packaging solution from a single source, ensuring compatibility between machine and packaging material while simplifying procurement and inventory management.
For companies packaging small components, this combination of machine, consumables, speed, and flexibility offers an efficient way to improve productivity and present products professionally to the end user.
SpeedBags®
Machines and Consumables as a Complete Solution
Audion supplies more than just packaging machines. The company also provides the consumables that are fully compatible with Speedpack machines and other automatic packaging systems.
This combination of machine and packaging material is important. When both are matched correctly, companies benefit from smoother machine operation, consistent seals, and improved packaging quality.
Audion SpeedBags®, for example, are specifically designed for use with Audion Speedpack machines. The Speedpack 300 Tabletop is built to work with pre-opened bags on a roll with a maximum bag width of 300 mm, making it suitable for a wide range of small-part packaging applications.
Higher Output, Less Manual Handling
For many companies, the business case is straightforward. Manual packaging is time-consuming and labor-intensive. It involves repetitive work, output depends heavily on the individual operator, and labeling adds yet another manual and time-consuming step to the process.
With a Speedpack machine, packaging becomes significantly faster and more consistent. The operator loads the product, while the machine presents the bag, seals it, and, if required, prints or labels it. An optional printer can be installed to print directly onto each bag or apply a label automatically.
This makes the Speedpack 300 Tabletop an attractive solution for companies looking to increase packaging capacity without immediately investing in a large, fully automated packaging line.
A Clear Match for Industrial and Retail Packaging
Our discussions with Vincent Meuser at Interpack demonstrated just how relevant this solution is for companies packaging small components for retail, distribution, and industrial supply chains.
The need is clear: package more products with fewer people, reduce manual handling, improve consistency, and create packaging that meets market expectations.
With the Speedpack 300 Tabletop, Audion offers a compact yet powerful answer to that challenge. Combined with the right bags on a roll, it provides companies with a flexible and efficient way to professionalize the packaging of smaller components.
At Interpack, visitors could see this firsthand: a broad range of Audion machines, practical discussions with packaging specialists, and clear examples of how smart packaging solutions help companies improve efficiency and optimize their packaging processes.
